Field Service Technician Trainee

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Field Service Technician Trainee to join the North Central Service department located at our National Technology Center in Florence, KY. The Field Service Technician Trainee will participate in the Mazak Corporation's Field Service training program. Trainees will complete the program and on-the-job training to be able to install, maintain, and repair Mazak equipment. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Cleveland, OH area. Travel is required.

Scope and Responsibilities :

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following :

• Proactively attain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Successfully complete Mazak Field Service training course and on-the-job training.
• Successfully demonstrate ability to install and maintain Mazak equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems on machines and accessories.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair.
• Work with and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications as it applies to your craft.
• Learn new machine features and accessories.
• Use precision levels to adjust the base of Mazak machinery.
• Utilize various test equipment for troubleshooting purposes, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gauges, etc.
• Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stays.
