The Solid Waste And Recycling Foreperson, Recycling And Waste Management Planning And Facilities Management, Georgetown University, plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the university's waste and recycling services. This position exists to ensure that solid waste and recycling activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in alignment with departmental goals. The Foreperson coordinates crew assignments, oversees fieldwork, and supports operational execution, working closely with the Solid Waste & Recycling Manager on matters related to staffing, scheduling, and safety compliance.
This role is essential in maintaining campus cleanliness, responding to service requests, and ensuring that recycling and disposal services meet university standards. The Foreperson also ensures that equipment is operated and maintained properly and that all regulatory requirements are met. Additional duties include, but are not limited to :
The Solid Waste And Recycling Foreperson interacts regularly with staff in the Recycling and Waste Management unit and the broader Planning and Facilities Management department, and may occasionally engage with students, faculty, staff, and visitors while performing duties across Georgetown University's Main and Medical Center campuses. This position reports directly to the Solid Waste & Recycling Manager and supports the department's operational goals by coordinating daily assignments, monitoring fieldwork, and communicating staffing needs or performance concerns to the Manager. While the Foreperson does not directly supervise staff, they play a critical role in ensuring that solid waste and recycling services are delivered efficiently and in alignment with the university's broader mission of sustainability, safety, and operational excellence.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is : $20.16 - $31.30 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
