Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This opportunity is with a global leader in digital signage technology, known for transforming public and commercial spaces through high-performance visual display solutions. Job Duties

• Develop and test new products applying engineering knowledge; complete engineering projects by evaluating, organizing, executing and controlling all elements.
• Lead high-level projects and manage key personnel in support of upper managers and directors.
• Prepare quotes and cost estimates for development time and part costs.
• Work with sheet metal, castings, extrusions, plastic molding, tubing, and complex assemblies.
• Lead customer high-level calls and mentor / train team members.
• Interpret design plans, engineering drawings and product specifications to execute objectives.
• Solve technical problems and redesign products for robustness and cost reduction.
• Conduct and define testing methods (DATP), FEA and CFD analyses to validate designs.
• Research emerging technologies to improve mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Ensure designs meet standards (UL, ADA, ISO 9001 / 14000) and best practices for manufacturability, inspection, assembly, testing and installation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
