Who we are

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sort of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Add that we have numerous specialty departments and it’s possible a tech’s day could involve a Macaw with a broken beak, time in one of our many advanced operating rooms, watching our Orthopedic Surgeons replace a dog’s elbow, or operating an MRI. It’s a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned animal hospital.

This position will support our Bone and Joint Center -

Our Bone & Joint Center offers the forefront of veterinary orthopedic care for dogs and cats. Combining our surgeons’ expertise, cutting-edge resources, and the level of care for which ACCESS is known, we are the go-to specialty animal hospital on the West Coast for animal orthopedic treatment and care.

ACCESS Los Angeles is looking for Veterinary Technicians to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
  • Experience & Skills Requirements :

  • 3 years veterinary assisting / technician experience

    Compensation :

    Non Credentialed Assistants  $21 / hr - $36 / hr

    Licensed Technicians  -$26 / hr - $42 / hr

    VTS  - $43 - $45 / hr
