Overview
Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Sebring, Florida. This full-time night shift role offers the opportunity to provide advanced respiratory care in a modern hospital setting. You'll play an essential role in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, using leading-edge technology and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient response to treatment.
Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Assist in the placement and maintenance of artificial airways.
Respond promptly to emergency codes and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.
Transport ventilator-dependent patients safely within the facility.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to optimize respiratory care plans.
Qualifications
Required :
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license (state-recognized)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start date)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 30 days of start date)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 30 days of start date)
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient care coordination skills
Preferred :
Previous acute care or hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
Proficiency with ventilator management and diagnostic respiratory procedures
