A fast-growing tax consulting firm is looking for a Business Development Director to establish and lead its business development department.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the tax consulting industry and exceptional negotiation and relationship management abilities.
Working collaboratively, the new leader will significantly impact the business by developing new partnerships, broadening market reach, and aligning sales strategies with the company's goals to drive overall success.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the firm’s goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, provide coaching, and bring new opportunities to the firm.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide reports on progress and challenges.
- Use data to refine and optimize sales and development strategies.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adapt strategies as needed.
- Identify potential partners, negotiate agreements, and manage partnership relationships.
- Manage key client relationships & oversee the sales process from lead generation to closure.
- Ensure the team meets its targets and aligns with the firm’s quality standards.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing and Operations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or MBA preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the tax consulting or financial services sector
- Knowledge of Federal Credits & Incentives such as : The Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit Energy Efficient Tax Credit - 45L 179D Tax Deduction Cost Segregation The Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERC)
- Proven track record of management, leading sales teams, and successfully meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong understanding of the tax consulting market and its key players
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skill
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset
