The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey is an independent, endowed grant-making organization dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of vulnerable populations. The foundation focuses on reducing disparities in healthcare delivery and improving access to quality healthcare in the Essex, NJ area, and the Greater MetroWest NJ Jewish community.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Healthcare Program Officer located in Millburn, NJ, with some work from home acceptable. The Healthcare Program Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing grant applications, evaluating and tracking funded programs, liaising with community partners, and contributing to the strategic direction of the foundation's healthcare initiatives. Daily tasks include reviewing proposals, conducting site visits, providing technical assistance to grant applicants, and preparing reports for the foundation's board.

Qualifications

• Healthcare background / knowledge
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Superior written skills and strong ability to express oneself orally
• Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Experience in grant-making or nonprofit management
• Knowledge of Newark and environs, including Greater MetroWest Jewish community
