We are seeking a Campus Dean for our BSN Program in Tucson, AZ. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring that our nursing program meets and maintains accreditation standards.
The Dean will review data on student retention and develop plans to improve recruitment, retention, and the overall student experience.
Additionally, the Dean will manage the finances of the department, including seeking funding and grants for the nursing program.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising, developing, planning, coordinating, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all activities of the nursing program.
This includes managing faculty and staff, serving as a liaison with clinical sites, overseeing curriculum development and implementation, ensuring program compliance with regulatory board rules and regulations, advocating for students, and establishing program policies and procedures.
Other responsibilities include acquiring supplies and equipment to meet program objectives, preparing data and written materials for state and board requirements, maintaining student and faculty records, identifying and obtaining outside resources, serving on program committees, organizing admission processes and orientations, establishing articulation agreements with nearby colleges, and acting as a liaison between the community and the college.
You will also be responsible for conducting clinical site evaluations, participating in faculty recruitment and hiring, resolving conflicts, maintaining community relationships, monitoring instruction quality, participating in program review and strategic planning, participating in professional associations, and representing nursing interests to other college entities.
Qualifications
- Holds a current RN license in the state where the campus is located
- Has a master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in nursing programs
- Has at least two years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse or equivalent experience
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
