JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title : Physician – Hospitalist

Job Type : Locum Tenens

Location : Abingdon, VA

Service Setting : Inpatient – Hospitalist

Coverage Type : Clinical Only

Coverage Period : ASAP – Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule :

• Physicians – 7a–7p (4 day rounders, 1 night rounder)
• NP / PAs – 1 day rounder

Minimum Shifts : 7 per month

Reason for Coverage : Supplemental Coverage

Patient Demographics : Adults

Rounding : Included

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System : Epic

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Credentialing Timeline : 24-hour deadline for all paperwork and credentials

Compliance Requirements :

Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Virginia medical license required; DEA (pending acceptable); Active driver’s license / passport; Permanent Resident card if applicable

Board : Board Certification required (ABPS not accepted)

Residency Training : Residency diploma / certificate from an accredited university

Certifications : ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Preeclampsia certificate
