This position will be part of the accounting department for a big corporation, headquartered in Austin.
Responsibilities include :
Completing tax forms
Coordinating with and assisting various tax consultants
Conducting tax research
Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Preparing year-end partnership tax schedules
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple clients or projects, and a solid understanding of tax laws and accounting principles.
Qualifications :
3–5 years of relevant work experience
Experience in public accounting or industry, particularly with partnership, sales, and property taxes
Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with construction-specific tax codes and compliance
Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking
Experience with accounting for multiple joint venture projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities :
Assist consultants with preparation of partnership tax schedules for construction entities (LLCs)
Respond to tax notices and assist with audits and examinations from tax authorities
Conduct research and collaborate with tax consultants to identify, implement, and maintain efficient tax strategies (property and sales taxes)
File direct pay permits and resale certificates
Prepare quarterly tax schedules for partnership tax and assist in compiling financial information for third-party compliance preparers for quarterly estimates and year-end K-1s
Maintain capital tables
Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure compliance and develop new tax strategies
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Taxation or related field is a plus
CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
Benefits :
This is an in-office position based in Austin, Texas. The selected candidate will be eligible for employer-matched 401(k), medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D insurance, and other benefit offerings.
Pay Details : $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
