Associate Director Of Administration
The Penn State Cancer Institute (PSCI) is seeking a motivated and experienced individual with outstanding administrative skills to be the Associate Director of Administration. This position provides administrative oversight to multiple strategic and operational areas of the PSCI, including basic, population and clinical cancer research; cancer research training and education; and community outreach and engagement. The primary duty is to oversee all PSCI operations related to NCI guidelines for a Cancer Center Support Grant application and assure that NCI operations are implemented. The secondary duties relate to developing, planning, monitoring and maintaining an effective and efficient administrative structure that facilitates growth of all PSCI mission areas. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively across the three PSCI matrix partners, Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State University and Penn State Health, and advance the PSCI to become an NCI-designated Cancer Center. Candidates must demonstrate independence, the ability to solve complex and highly varied problems, and outstanding inter-personal skills. The position reports directly to the PSCI Director.
Specific responsibilities include :
Preferred Experience : Master's degree in Business Administration
10 years experience in research grant administration and National Cancer Institute Cancer Center designation process
Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications
Master's Degree 10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications : None
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $109,300.00 - $164,000.00.
