Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership & Management : Directly manage and mentor service department employees (technicians, service advisors, support staff) to ensure peak efficiency and effectiveness.
Customer Experience Champion : Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction from initial appointment to final vehicle delivery, maintaining transparent communication throughout the service journey.
Inter-Departmental Collaboration : Develop and nurture strong relationships with other departmental managers to guarantee efficient coordination and communication across the entire dealership.
Compliance & Standards : Uphold strict adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and dealership policies concerning service operations, including safety, environmental, and customer service benchmarks.
Performance Optimization : Monitor departmental performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to continuously improve results.
Inventory & Profitability : Manage inventory levels meticulously and ensure precise record-keeping to minimize loss and maximize profitability.
Business Growth : Develop and execute effective marketing and sales strategies to expand service department business and boost revenue.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications) :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience managing an automotive service department or a similar operational role.
Leadership & Communication : Strong, inspiring leadership abilities coupled with excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding a diverse team.
Organizational Acumen : Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to expertly manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Technical Knowledge : Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Tech Proficiency : Proficient computer skills, including a strong understanding of automotive service management software.
Relationship Building : Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Driving Record : A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
