Certified Medical Assistant
Interview patients and record their medical history. Measure patients' vital signs, such as their blood pressure and weight. Help physicians with patient examinations. Located in the following departments : Audiology, Deployment Health Department, Women's Health Services and Primary Care Services, Pediatrics for Naval Hospital Clinic / Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command (NHC / NMRTC) Oak Harbor, WA.

Position Qualification / Requirements :
Degree : Certificate.
Accreditation : Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
Cardiac Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross : Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification : One of the follow :
Experience : One year of experience within the last two years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen
English Language Requirement : Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.
Physical Capability : Shall be physically capable of standing and / or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
Duties :
Hours : Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0700 and 1630 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5-to-9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30- to-60-minute lunch break, respectively.
Base Down Days : During a planned closure of the facility due to training, closures before or after holidays family down days, employee will only be compensated for the actual hours worked.
