We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and optimize payroll operations for a large hourly workforce. This role requires expertise in managing multi-state payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and streamlining payroll functions to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, comfortability with hands-on processing, extreme technical proficiency (especially within Excel), and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and execute full-cycle payroll operations for a workforce exceeding 800 employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-monthly payroll across multiple states.
- Maintain compliance with payroll tax regulations and oversee detailed reporting requirements.
- Implement and refine payroll procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, including formulas, macros, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables, to analyze payroll data.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage payroll systems such as Paycor and Sage Intacct, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Provide leadership and training to payroll staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Monitor and audit payroll processes to identify and mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on state and federal payroll laws to ensure compliance and adapt to regulatory changes.
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management for large organizations.
- Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paycor and Sage Intacct.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, macros, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively, with excellent communication skills.
