Field Technician

Flash Fire Dynamics is a Long Island-based HVAC controls contractor and IT-managed service provider. We are currently offering a variety of positions to help grow our family. We are looking for experienced technicians with at least two years of experience in the IT or HVAC controls industry, with a strong comprehension of either IT systems and networks, or automated control systems and logic programming (Ladder, FBD, structured text).

If you have strong skills in drafting programs like Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD, or other creative suites, or you’re an HVAC mechanic, we encourage you to reach out as well.

This is a field technician role. You’ll drive to customer sites to perform work (a gas card is provided for your vehicle). You’ll interact with on-site customer representatives, such as office and facility managers, so strong people skills are a must. We also build control panels in our shop, so some in-office work at our Bohemia location is expected.

We offer paid time off (PTO), sick time, and holiday pay. We also expect to introduce medical and 401(k) benefits in late 2026 or early 2027, based on employee needs and requests.

Base Expectations (Applicable to Both Controls & IT Tracks)

• Ability to handle physical workload
• Familiarity with wiring diagrams
• Network wiring and terminations / management (Ethernet, structured cabling, etc.)
• Service and installation of technical systems on customer sites
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Customer-facing skills and professionalism
