Medical Assistant / Clinic Service Representative (MA / CSR) Ob Clinic Prn

This is a PRN (as needed) role that does not have a set schedule or number of hours it will work each week. However, our clinics are typically open M-F from approximately 8 am to 5 pm and this position would work within those hours. How you'll contribute

• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
• Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification / authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow-up.
