Medical Assistant / Clinic Service Representative

This full-time position is located at our orthopedic clinic and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus for a twelve (12) month commitment. Schedule : 5x8s Monday-Friday. Your experience matters. How you'll contribute : A Medical Assistant (MA) / Clinic Service Representative (CSR) who excels in this role :

• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
• Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification / authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow-up.
