Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Neonatal ICU RN with a current CA license, two years of NICU experience, and flexibility for weekend night shifts.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a Level III NICUNight shifts with block scheduling, primarily Friday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Three 12-hour shifts per week on weekends onlyFloat required to PICU and CTICU as neededUses Epic for documentation, with pre-start Epic training modulesPatient care includes ventilators, bubble CPAP, HFNC, phototherapy, tube feed / gavage, and management of blood productsCare for critically ill neonates including those requiring advanced respiratory and medication managementMust complete Epic training modules prior to startUp to five days of pre-approved time off allowed, with blackout dates around key holidaysLocals accepted at a local rate if residing within 50 milesNo on-call responsibilityMust be flexible for weekend coverage and floating assignmentsRequirements
Active CA RN license in handMinimum two years of Level III NICU RN experienceCurrent BLS and Advanced NRP certifications requiredExperience with phototherapy, tube feed / gavage, blood products, PICC and peripheral lines, anti-seizure meds, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilator managementNo prior permanent employment at the facility allowedOne reference from the past two years requiredFirst-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirementsNo reported violations or 'hits' on Nursys license verificationBenefits
