Job Summary
As a Supply Chain Systems Analyst (Logistics) Intern at BPMI, you will be responsible for the complete life cycle supply chain management of all parts and components for nuclear power plants and supporting systems. These responsibilities include understanding how demand is projected for components and parts through establishing shipboard configuration and stock requirements, monitoring usage, and factoring for ship construction, refit, or decommissioning plans. In comparing and evaluating assets to needs, cognizance of all aspects of supply chain control is required, including availability planning, material planning, supply management, inventory control and storage, transportation, support in service, and disposal authorization. Extensive use and support of business systems, interaction with Navy fleet, suppliers, shipyards, and Government personnel. Analyst must also be able to coordinate with more experienced analysts to develop solutions to complex supply chain problems and issues involving formal oral and written communications.
This opportunity will begin Summer 2026, working a full-time schedule (40 hours / week). Please note, this is not a remote position. You will be expected to come into the office for this opportunity.
Our internship will give you the opportunity to work in your field of study while simultaneously pursuing your bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university. These opportunities can enhance your academic training while teaching critical business skills and allowing you to learn about BPMI, the Navy, and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
