Main Goal : By June 30, 2026, generate at least 35 meetings with leaders at local companies interested in hiring co-op students and recent graduates of Franklin Cummings Tech, particularly in the fields of HVAC, practical electricity, and biotechnology.
Deliverables :
- Understand our colleges offerings and unique value proposition.
- Develop a list of at least 200 and up to 300 companies. This list will include our warm leads, plus additional leads based on your research of the field, your network, and attendance at networking events.
- Develop a system for how work study students will do research on our leads in preparation for personalized initial outreach to the companies, and train the students.
- Do outreach to these leads, being gently persistent to get an initial inquiry.
- Hold at least 60 initial conversations with companies to assess their interest in a partnership with the college about hiring our students and graduates.
- Write brief trip reports from these initial conversations.
- Based on these initial conversations, generate at least 35 meetings between the companies and senior staff at the college.
- Prepare short briefings for these 35 meetings with senior leadership.
- Represent the college at ~7 networking events (~25 hours total).
- Attend team meetings biweekly and 1 : 1s with head of innovation (~30 hours total).
- Attend major employer events at the college, such as interview days, student showcases, and career fairs (~15 hours total).

Through our alumni working in the field, our Business Advisory Council, and partnerships with Associated Industries of Massachusetts and Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts, we have access to ~120 warm leads. We also have a small team of work-study students who can do research on the leads.
Expected Workload : 280 to 455 hours between 12 / 1 / 2025 and 6 / 30 / 2026. Opportunity to renew the contract on July 1.
Payment : $24,500, or $3,500 per month. Payment would be monthly via invoice.
