Work From Home positions available in the Boise, ID area. Must be able to work on-site as needed.We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to work in our Central Service Center. This position is responsible for supervising Accounts Payable (AP) processes and employees both in-person and remotely. The Supervisor will lead the AP team on continuous process improvement and cost-effective delivery of service level agreements. This position is a key role in building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, and compliance with Company policy, procedures, and controls. Importantly, this leadership position is responsible for the building, training, managing, developing, and mentoring of a large team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in team recruitment and onboarding
- Performs all aspects of personnel management of direct reports including training, supervising, coaching, managing work performance, maintaining individual and team schedules, and timekeeping administration
- Interacts with all levels of Centrals leadership
- Supervises the payable portion of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process
- Liaises and partners with other key P2P participants
- Assists in working capital and DPO best practice initiatives
- Addresses escalated issues with urgency and communicates with all necessary parties
- Ability to interpret and explain policies, practices, and procedures of the job area to others within the organization
- Evaluates and monitors AP metrics and service level agreements
- Assists with the ideation, testing and implementation of department processes
- Supports new business models, mergers, and acquisitions
- Ensures adherence to Company policy
- Develops, updates, and maintains AP policy and process documentation to achieve efficient, cost-effective processes
- Engages in continuous collaboration of cross-functional process improvement opportunities including strategy, execution and change management to drive efficiency
- Develops, updates, and maintains AP documentation and tools
- Assists in managing monthly close of AP area providing support to Central Finance and accruals
- Completes transactional processing
- Supports internal and external audits
- Responsible for department compliance with company policy, procedures, and SOX controls
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Able to work independently with limited oversight from managerDemonstrated change and conflict management skillsDemonstrated ability to lead a heavily metric driven organizationDemonstrated accomplishments in developing and implementing process improvements and measuring the success of desired outcomesMust have worked with a large company with large AP transaction volume (min. 5K invoices per month)Demonstrated ability to work with a large vendor baseStrong understanding of internal controls such as Sarbanes-Oxley, audits, and managing policy compliancePossesses understanding of GAAP and business acumenExperience in shared service environment, preferredKnowledgeable with SAP or large ERP system preferredAbility to effectively partner and influence cross-functionally and with all levels of Central employeesStrong leadership and analytical skillsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power PointAbility to set and achieve goalsContinuous process improvement approach to work and ability to manage processesOther candidate should have the highest integrity and character, convey a strong presence, able to flex between multiple leadership approaches as needed, and a skilled influencer.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
BS / BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience3+ years leadership experience in APWORKING CONDITIONS
