Position Summary

In the diverse construction markets of Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and Texas. RK Mechanical is committed to our trade partners and to provide best-in-class services at every phase of the construction process. As a Scheduler, you will work closely with key project team members to develop engineering, fabrication, and construction schedules to align with customer milestones and other deliverables. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the schedules across various milestones and stages of the design and construction process, while also providing updates to key project team members to provide timely reporting and feedback on the progress of projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
• Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
• Integrate customer schedules with internal schedules and provide timely feedback to project stakeholders on impacts to critical project tasks, such as fabrication delivery dates, VDC design dates, resource loading requirements, procurement conflicts, milestone / deliverable risks, and all other project specific critical tasks.
• Develop and keep production status of the schedule activities and critical milestones to align with RK production tracking efforts and site-specific customer requirements.
• Review / analyze assigned project schedules at regular intervals to ensure that all changes, delays, progress, etc. are reflected properly.
• Review / analyze customer baseline schedule and any updated schedules for integrity as well as to determine potential risks or impacts to internal schedules and / or accounting that need to be mitigated.
• Assist the project team in creating and assessing potential acceleration and or delay mitigation strategies due to design changes or schedule slippages.
• Provide schedule resource / production reports to field managers on a weekly cadence to support field labor forecasting efforts (ie. Rivet Workforce Management or other labor forecast tools).
• Meet with project and production teams weekly to discuss and document progress.
• As needed, provide documentation to support internal project reviews and risk analysis.
• Be able to work closely with personnel to help improve their planning and scheduling skills.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
