Director, Clinical Programs
This Director will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our comprehensive access management program across DaVita Kidney Care. This spans permanent access placement, CVC removal, ongoing maintenance of permanent access, and supporting access transitions. Key areas of focus include rolling out new training, clinical pathways / protocols, providing leadership and execution on pay for performance contracts, and identifying future opportunities in support of a multi-year vision and roadmap.
Essential duties and responsibilities include team leadership and supervision, collaborating with OCMO leadership, CE teammates, and field to refine access management roadmap, leading pilots and nationwide initiative rollouts, and building on clinical vision to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and build business cases for initiatives to achieve goals. Strong problem-solving abilities are required to take complex issues, develop detailed plans, and coordinate execution. The role also involves leading pilots, identifying key goals and metrics to align performance with success, driving on results, communicating results, and assessing go / no-go for scale. Partnering with Integrated Kidney Care (IKC) teams as well as the Home team is necessary to ensure alignment; front-line cross-team workflows, electronic medical record / documentation, and reporting are also part of the role. Organizing and providing executive, management, and front-line initiatives and performance reporting and communication, identifying new areas of opportunity with vendors to implement new clinical and risk adjustment initiatives, and assisting in the development and management of vendor contracts as needed are also essential.
Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor's Degree required, with a Masters preferred. Prior experience leading a team and at least 5 years of experience in the following areas in a healthcare setting are required : dialysis experience preferred, analytics and data analysis, and extensive experience with problem solving and strategy development & alignment. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, experience working in a highly matrixed organization, and the ability to work within a fast-moving work environment are also necessary. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills are required.
