Cygnus is a high-quality precision sheet metal and machine parts manufacturing company looking for an experienced Engineering Deputy Manager. The Engineering Deputy Manager, in coordination with the Engineering Manager, will plan, organize, and direct the engineering team in generating concise work instructions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturing, production, quality, and administrative personnel; review and implement quality and process improvements.
• Ensure the accuracy of work order planning performed meets all customer requirements.
• Create and verify the accuracy of manufacturing plans used to produce goods to customer requirements.
• Develop staff skills and openly communicate to encourage new ideas and innovation.
• Resolve technical and scheduling issues to maintain an acceptable level of workflow.
• Perform root cause analysis and answer corrective actions, follow through to see training and changes are implemented.
• Be able to read, understand and learn customer specifications, Cygnus operating procedures, and work order instructions to certify part Quality Inspection and acceptance.
• Create and modify standard operating procedures.
