Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection techniques to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, or other precision machines to produce parts per specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T symbols to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, programming, or machine performance.
- Work closely with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes and reduce downtime.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area following all company and OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.Minimum of 2–5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.Experience with G-code, M-code, and CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a production setting.Preferred Skills :
Experience with setup and programming of CNC machines.Knowledge of CAD / CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or GibbsCAM).Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles.Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed.
