Serendipity Staffing Solutions is on the lookout for an Occupational Therapist who will play a crucial role in orchestrating, coordinating, and providing professional services within rehabilitative, functional, and preventive therapeutic programs for patients.
The occupational therapist engages in clinical activities, which involve assessing individuals and creating treatment plans in the realm of occupational therapy.
The primary goal is to facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities. This position emphasizes the importance of close collaboration with patients and their families, working together to establish and attain treatment goals.
Responsibilities :
- Assesses, treats, and monitors patients, making necessary modifications to therapy programs and goals.
- Ensures comprehensive and concise clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner, with accurate entry of charges.
- Effectively communicates with patients, families, departmental colleagues, and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, families, and staff.
- Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
- Advances clinical skills through continuous education, literature review, and the implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Shares knowledge to enhance the clinical skills of colleagues and adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
- Maintains awareness of system goals and aligns personal goals and work activities to support or impact these goals.
Requirements :
- Must possess problem-solving skills at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.
- Demonstrates proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
- Proficient computer knowledge, operating multiple computer systems, and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Qualifications :
- Education : Master's or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
- Experience : Less than 1 year of experience.
- Certification / License / Registration : Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) : BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire.
