$125 per hour
About The Position
An inpatient hospital in Lufkin, TX is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist with ERCP capability to provide locum inpatient coverage. This is a 100% inpatient role with consults and procedures generated from hospital cases—no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
You’ll be supported by an experienced GI nursing team and anesthesia backup within a collaborative hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient consults and perform GI procedures (endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCPs).
- Manage inpatient cases such as GI bleeds, SBO, food bolus, gastritis, and ulcerations.
- Conduct daily rounding on approximately 10 patients.
- Collaborate with hospitalists for patient admissions.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage with callback as needed.
