Senior Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in financial systems to join our Solutions team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Business Analyst who can take ownership of a complex software development workstream while acting as the primary bridge between engineering teams and business stakeholders. The position supports full lifecycle delivery, including requirements elicitation, user story development, testing, and UAT, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including a Data Analyst, to ensure data integrity and reporting alignment. The ideal candidate brings deep financial systems expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Business Analyst for a dedicated software development workstream, owning delivery from requirements through UAT.
  
• Act as the primary Analyst liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and execution.
  
• Partner closely with technical and business teams to drive successful solution delivery.
  
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and workflow mapping sessions.
  
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories aligned with strategic objectives.
  
• Create detailed test scripts and define UAT scenarios; support testing execution and validation.
  
• Track milestones, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely delivery of assigned deliverables.
  
• Utilize Jira and Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  
• Collaborate continuously with development teams to clarify requirements throughout the SDLC.
  

Qualifications
Required:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments, preferably within media, entertainment, or financial systems.
  
• Demonstrated ability to function as a senior Business Analyst, owning a workstream and driving collaboration across technical and business teams.
  
• Strong understanding of financial systems; experience with royalties or revenue platforms is a plus.
  
• Proven ability to elicit, document, and translate requirements into actionable deliverables.
  
• Hands-on experience across the full SDLC, including requirements definition, testing, and UAT.
  
• Familiarity with Jira and Microsoft Office Suite; MS Project experience is a plus.
  
• SAP experience (especially SD module) is highly desirable but not required.
  
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; thrives in fast-paced, information-dense environments.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field.
  

Preferred (Optional):

• Experience supporting royalties payment initiatives.
  
• Experience within the media industry.
  
• MBA degree and/or PMP certification.
  
• Prior project management experience while maintaining a primary Business Analyst focus.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $60 - $65 per hour, depending on experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual compensation within the range is based on work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
