Job description

Client Account Specialist (CAS)

Hogan Lovells is seeking a detail-oriented professional with legal billing experience to join our team. In this role, you'll manage the full billing and collections cycle for a portfolio of client matters, working closely with lawyers and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing.

This is a full-time position with core hours Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. or 9 : 30 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m., including one hour for lunch. Flexibility for additional hours and occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage billing and collections from engagement through payment
  • Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and fee arrangements
  • Prepare and submit accurate invoices and eBills
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams
  • Monitor billing trends and prepare forecasts and reports
  • Troubleshoot eBilling issues and follow up on collections
  • Contribute to process improvements and team collaboration

Qualifications

  • Three (3)+ years of experience in legal billing, eBilling, and / or account management
  • Law firm or professional services experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with eBilling platforms (e.g., TyMetrix, CounselLink, LegalTracker)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Spanish language skills a plus

  • The annualized salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exist.
