Corporate Controller Opportunity
Mythic Genetics is seeking a world-class Corporate Controller to join our leadership team and help drive excellence in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. The Corporate Controller will be the financial steward of the company-responsible for leading all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting and internal controls for a complex, fast-paced public enterprise in the life sciences sector. This is a high-impact role with direct visibility to executive leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a company by making a meaningful impact on people's lives. This is a hybrid position : while the role is primarily remote, the Controller should be available to come into the office as needed for key meetings, leadership collaboration, and team building. There is no set in-office schedule, offering flexibility while still fostering connection with the leadership team.
- Financial Leadership : Supervise a team of approximately 20 employees including GL accounting team, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and technical accounting and equity administration. Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidations, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, fixed assets and technical accounting.
- Public Company Reporting : Oversee the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Process Excellence : Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and automation to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Internal Controls and Compliance : Own SOX compliance, maintaining a robust internal control environment, partnering with internal audit and external auditors.
- Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Business Partnership : Partner cross-functionally with FPandA, tax, legal, and operations to provide insights and support strategic initiatives.
