FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, is seeking a forward-thinking, internally motivated professional to serve as our HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) and Safety Training Manager . This role, located at our Atlanta Jackson-Hartsfield Airport location, is responsible for cultivation and promoting the culture of safety at a station with approximately 200 employees. Candidates should be able to firmly communicate "Safety First" to our employees with the appropriate approach.
The HSE and Safety Training Manager role has oversight for the administration of all safety policies, programs, and training for all personnel at the site. Specifically,
- Supports the General Manager with all aspects of the station's safety, training, and environmental compliance program,
- Supports Corporate HSE with local station compliance and reporting,
- Leads, coaches, and develops a team of safety and training coordinators,
- Provides guidance and support to operational management on matters of safety and environmental issues,
- Works within a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically diverse across multiple time zones,
- Establishes / implements reporting and metrics to identify and address trends, opportunities and gaps in the station's safety and compliance program,
- Tracks and completes the OSHA reporting logs,
- Identifies training needs and conduct proactive safety related training,
- Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, and near misses and oversee the compilation and submission of incident reports,
- Manages action items / corrective actions to completion,
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external business partners,
- Participate in audits and inspections by internal and external agencies,
- Has knowledge of Federal, State, and local safety and environmental regulations and compliance requirements,
- Remains current on regulations and compliance requirements, and
- Has a knowledge of workplace hazards and hazardous materials.

Education or experience in safety management, safety training, environmental compliance, or similar field,Prior experience in leadership or management role,Prior experience in aviation or closely related field,A certification in occupational health and safety management,Three years' experience as a safety or health and safety or HSE manager,Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance,Knowledge and experience with SPCC, FRP, ICP and SWPPP,Education or experience with RCA / incident reporting, andExperience managing worker's compensation claims.What Requirements You Must Meet
