Area Supervisor - ABA Supported Living Services

As a Supported Living Services Supervisor you will have more than just a job - you will have the opportunity to directly impact someone's life for the better! You will work with individuals in their homes and surrounding communities.
As a Supported Living Services Supervisor, you will train and supervise employees who teach and assist clients in building skills necessary to live independently in their own home. You will oversee Supported Living Services that are provided in the individual's home and in varied community settings in the Los Angeles, Gardena / Hawthorne, CA area.
Your daily routine can include :
- Facilitating meaningful community connections
- Lead team meetings
- Supervise direct support staff and senior staff
- Develop creative individual program plans and supervise implementation
- Provide direct support, emergency on-call support, and crisis intervention as needed
- Training staff to teach independent life skills
- Maintain positive relationships with the people served
- Increasing helpful, adaptive behaviors
- Having fun!
What is Supported Living?
Supported Living Services allow individuals with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes in the community, while developing independent living skills, creating meaningful relationships, and participating as active members in their families and communities.
Qualifications
This mid-level position requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field preferred; or comparable training and experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and / or challenging behaviors.

Minimum : Bachelor's Degree, and 6 years of related experience in the fieldMust pass Supervisor exam upon hire and to maintain current roleProven experience as personal care assistantCommitted to health & safetyWell-organized and reliableExcellent communication and people skillsPositive and compassionate attitudeStrong ethicsPhysical staminaWilling to do direct careMaintains on-call responsibility for emergency, by pager. This includes 24-hour on-call availability when scheduled.Substitute if a senior staff is not available to fill in for CSC who did not make it work.Able to support clients in their daily routines; including, but not limited to, nutrition, self-care, social, recreational, personal relationships, money management, etc.Knowledge of positive behavior support practicesBe certified in CPR / First Aid / and ProAct within the first two weeks of employmentAbility to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs.Successfully pass a background checkPossess a valid California Driver's license and provide current driving record issued by the DMV.Provide proof of current car insuranceProvide proof of formal documentation of highest level of education completed and / or qualifying certificatesAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyBenefits
