Job description

A premier gastroenterology group in Manhattan is actively recruiting gastroenterologists to join its thriving practice and endoscopy center. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-volume, physician-owned outpatient environment with immediate access to ownership and long-term growth potential.

Practice Highlights :

  • Ownership from Day One : Unlike traditional models with delayed buy-in, physicians here have the opportunity to purchase shares in the endoscopy center immediately upon joining.
  • Current share value is favorable due to upcoming retirements, providing a strong investment opportunity with historical annual distributions of ~$80,000–$150,000 per 1% ownership.
  • Growing, Collaborative Team : The group includes ~20 physician partners, including both private practitioners and well-known academic leaders from institutions such as NYU and Hofstra. Several senior physicians are retiring in the near future, creating significant patient demand and room for younger physicians to thrive.
  • High-Volume Outpatient Focus : 99% of work is outpatient in a modern endoscopy center equipped for EUS, EMR, and advanced procedures. Hospital obligations are minimal (typically 1–2 weeks / year).
  • Robust Infrastructure : In-house pathology lab established anesthesia team, and extensive referral network drive practice efficiency and additional revenue streams.
  • Marketing & Growth Support : The practice invests in patient acquisition through modern tools including Zocdoc, AI-driven web engagement, and targeted advertising, ensuring strong patient flow.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

o Competitive guaranteed salary in year one with full benefits (health insurance, malpractice, etc.)

o Productivity bonus (50% of collections above threshold in year one)

o Significant long-term earnings potential through partnership, ancillary revenue, and share distributions

  • Clinical Focus : Primarily general GI, but subspecialty interests (IBD, motility, hepatology, etc.) can be supported. Advanced endoscopy is welcome, though most high-acuity ERCP / EUS volume remains hospital-based.
  • Ideal Candidate :
