Job description

About the role:

The Data Analyst will collaborate with finance, sales, vendor management, marketing, and operations teams to design and deliver robust data solutions that drive business decision-making. This role focuses on architecting and developing scalable data pipelines, including Power BI dataflows and semantic models, to support self-service analytics and reporting. The Data Analyst will provide data architecture guidance for other analysts, enabling the efficient development of Power BI dashboards and enterprise reports.

Key responsibilities include building and optimizing data integration processes using Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, as well as developing advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The role requires analyzing and improving existing data processes and working cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders to ensure comprehensive, high-quality data solutions are implemented.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational finance reporting, analytical tools, and self-service data capabilities by collaborating with finance analytics and IT teams. Leverage data engineering best practices to optimize reporting infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with the finance data analytics team to design and develop robust Power BI semantic models and dataflows, ensuring scalable and reusable datasets for efficient report development and advanced analytics.

  • Partner with the IT Big Data team to architect and deliver end-to-end data pipeline solutions, utilizing platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, and tools such as SQL, PySpark, and Fabric Notebooks to enable seamless data integration and transformation.

  • Engage with business users to develop advanced SQL queries, portal data views, and intermediate to complex analytical models, providing senior leadership with actionable insights and proactive analysis for informed decision-making.

What we're looking for:

Experience:

  • 2+ Years of Power BI semantic models and dataflows development

  • 2+ Years of SQL query development

  • 2+ Years of ETL infrastructure development

  • 2+ Years of Power BI dashboard development

  • 1+ Years of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory or One Lake development

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related quantitative discipline field of study required.

  • Intermediate experience with BI/BW and data visualization tools such as Power BI and SQL

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Spark is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Interacts effectively with all levels of management.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills; drives tasks to completion.

  • Manages stress and pressure under tight deadlines.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision.

  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Strong Understanding of data lakehouse architecture (preferably OneLake)

  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments

  • Experience with PySpark, Fabric Notebooks, or Databricks for large-scale data processing.

  • Knowledge of Delta Lake, Lakehouse, and medallion architecture.

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment.

  • Hybrid work model, 3 days in office and 2 days remote, allowing flexibility between remote and in-office work.
