WTR Search is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer  for a full MEP-FP consulting engineering firm focused on giving clients the highest quality in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Engineering solutions.
This position can be in-office or hybrid. You must reside in the Orlando, FL area.
Summary of Qualifications :
- 10 years of experience in HVAC and / or Plumbing Building Systems Design in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineering
- Expected to immediately step in to assist and provide support for all design aspects of assigned projects
- Strong understanding of the Mechanical Engineering discipline and can provide immediate support for a fast-paced department
- Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and / or Revit
- Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, accept responsibilities, and take on new challenges as presented
Summary of Job Responsibilities :
Attend Kick-off meetings with design team, clients, and owner to develop a scope of work for projectsPerform Site visits to determine existing conditions and document all associated systems included in scope of workProvide project management from project kickoff through construction administration, as neededConvey all information required to internal stakeholders for submissions on all design deliverablesMust have a thorough knowledge of applicable building codesMust be able to provide consultation on mechanical equipment room sizes during the appropriate design stageMust be able to produce & review HVAC Load & Energy calculationsUnderstands and applies concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systemsMust be able to design HVAC ductwork layouts, ductwork sizing, and specify required equipmentQA / QC reviews of all calculations by Designers, and provide guidance and mentoringRespond to RFIs for the project, accurately review submittals, and solve installation issues as needed during constructionAbility to draft, edit, and review specifications to reflect the project requirementsMust be able to edit and develop scope of work (basis of design) narrativesAttend meetings and communicate clearly and thoroughly with clients, establish their needs, and discuss designs and design issuesAbility to coordinate and interact with all other tradesMeet all deadlines as assignedRequirements :
Must have at least 10 years of Mechanical (MEP) design experienceMust be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, & BluebeamMust hold a Professional Engineering (PE) LicenseBachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited 4-year / university preferredMust be self-motivated, able to learn quickly, accept responsibilities, and take on new challenges as presented
