The Role
As Craighill’s Director of Operations , you’ll lead and refine the systems that connect design, production, fulfillment, and delivery — ensuring that every Craighill object moves through the world with precision and purpose.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with 8–10 years of experience who thrives at the intersection of strategy, craft, and execution . You’ll bring analytical rigor, creativity, and entrepreneurial instincts to help Craighill scale efficiently while maintaining our uncompromising standards for quality and design integrity.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and the Operations team to translate creative vision into operational excellence — ensuring our products are produced and delivered efficiently, thoughtfully, and with care.
Essential Functions
Sales & Operations Planning
- Develop and maintain Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes that align production schedules, inventory, and sales forecasts.
- Create reporting tools and dashboards to track key metrics such as lead times, inventory health, and cost of goods.
- Translate company goals into operational plans that balance efficiency and brand integrity.
- Partner with leadership to forecast growth scenarios and design systems that scale sustainably.
Manufacturing Partnerships & Production Flow
Oversee relationships with domestic and international manufacturing partners, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with Craighill’s design ethos.Manage production calendars and delivery timelines across multiple product categories.Evaluate and onboard new partners to expand capabilities and support product growth.Negotiate and manage supplier agreements focused on reliability, quality, and long-term value.Fulfillment & Logistics
Partner with our 3PL and logistics providers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.Monitor fulfillment performance and continuously refine workflows to improve speed and customer experience.Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless service across DTC, wholesale, and retail channels.Inventory Planning & Cost Management
Oversee inventory levels to maintain availability while optimizing working capital.Lead cost-of-goods and margin analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Collaborate with Finance and Sales to align purchasing and inventory with company objectives.Build proactive systems for inventory visibility and operational reporting.Quality & Continuous Improvement
Implement and evolve quality control processes across the supply chain.Lead operational improvement initiatives that enhance consistency, reduce waste, and strengthen reliability.Establish and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning — using small tests to drive ongoing improvement.Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the Operations team, fostering accountability, growth, and ownership.Set clear quarterly and annual goals aligned with company objectives.Partner closely with Design, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure transparency and alignment.Model Craighill’s values — especially empathy and ingenuity — in daily problem-solving and collaboration.Qualifications
8–10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or production management, ideally within consumer goods, design, or manufacturing.Proven success managing manufacturing partners, logistics operations, and cross-functional workflows.Experience implementing or optimizing ERP or inventory systems (Brightpearl, NetSuite, or similar).Strong analytical and financial acumen; data-driven decision maker.Demonstrated ability to build scalable systems and lead teams in a growing organization.Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable balancing detail and strategy.Entrepreneurial mindset — resourceful, pragmatic, and adaptive in dynamic environments.Deep appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and process-driven excellence.Personal Attributes
