Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Shipping Processor and Packer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be based in El Segundo, CA.

Essential Functions :

• Receives, checks and packs material, supplies and equipment.
• Checks and verifies identification and count of material, checks itemsreceived for shipping, such as production, subcontract, spares orders,and rejections, and D.

S.A.R.'s against shipping requests, rejectionreports, and other traveling paper.

• Weighs and measures items and refers to packing sheets, and otherforms in order to determine proper packaging of items and shipment inaccordance with transportability codes.
• Wraps and packs items using preservative and packing materials inaccordance with transportability codes.
• Operates material equipment, such as a forklift is required. Maintainsvalid licenses.
• Assists in the operation of the shipping area and / or the handling ofspecified classes of items for shipment.
• Preserves raw materials by applying rust and corrosion deterrents.Arranges fumigation of containers when stipulated in contract.
• Receives, maintains and returns reusable containers
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Must be detailed oriented and have good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be comfortable with change
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skill

Basic Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience
• Able to lift 25 plus pounds & stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to operate a forklift obtain certification when hired

Preferred Qualifications :

• Prior experience with military packaging and / or commercial crating / packing
• Working knowledge of SAP

Salary Range : $37,169.60 - $73,320.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
