The team's focus on member engagement and leadership is about enhancing relationships with member-owners by providing comprehensive leader development programs, engaging governance roles and impactful advocacy opportunities with the goal of member-owners taking active roles within the cooperative.
The Member Development Research Intern will work with the Land O'Lakes Member Governance and Shared Services team to analyze and organize our leader development opportunities available for our member-owners. The position will conduct surveys and phone interviews with member-owners to gather insights on preferred development methods and suggested content. They will also analyze how we can offer alternative development options by assessing technology and various tools that can aid in distributing and tracking training programs. The intern will lead a needs analysis where they will be asking multiple internal working groups what development needs they see as critical from their perspective. Once completed with the needs analysis we would like them to map out our current offerings and their intersections with the various groups that members engage with for development. During their various conversations with member-owners and staff, we want the intern to ask questions that help us benchmark our development offerings against other organizations.
This position provides unique opportunities to engage with our member-owners and internal teams that also engage with our member-owners to gain a broad perspective as to how a cooperative can interact with its member-owners.
