Trademark Recruiting is conducting a search for a well respected and very well established manufacturing company headquartered in Tampa, who are looking to bring on a career minded Procurement Lead. This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain and serve as their right hand with respect to the procurement efforts of the organization as a whole. Mission
Ensure timely procurement of all raw materials, packaging, and third-party items at the best total cost and quality to support uninterrupted production and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Review sales and inventory data regularly to forecast raw materials and packaging needs.
- Adjust demand forecasts based on seasonal demand, promotional cycles, and upcoming product launches.
- Maintain and update forecasting and materials management reports as needed.
Purchase Order Management
Generate and issue purchase orders for all divisions or production facilities.Manage purchase order confirmations, amendments, and accuracy checks with vendors.Oversee procurement of :Co-packed or contract-manufactured productsFinished beverage and food itemsRaw materials (e.g., packaging, ingredients, components)Third-party products or resale itemsEquipment and partsAncillary and operational suppliesVendor Communication
Maintain consistent communication with suppliers for order tracking, lead time updates, and issue resolution.Negotiate pricing, freight terms, and minimum order quantities (MOQs).Conduct regular vendor performance reviews in coordination with the Supply Chain Operations team.Inventory Coordination
Collaborate with Operations to maintain balanced inventory levels and prevent shortages or overstock.Support cycle counts, slow-mover analysis, and SKU rationalization initiatives.Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all procurement workflows, including item creation, bill of materials (BOM) management, freight scheduling, and product coding.Review and update SOPs regularly or following process changes.Support ERP / MRP system enhancements to improve purchasing automation and visibility.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or food / beverage environment.Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft GP, Smartlist, SalesPad, Ninety, or similar).Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
