The Channel Service Specialist supports sales growth with our channel partners to enrich the customer experience and maintain long-lasting relationships. This position will specifically support Fisher, VWR, Thomas Scientific, and other regional distribution partners.
Job Description :
The Channel Service Representative is responsible for providing customer service and supporting the profitability of these partnerships. Responsibilities will include :
- Maintain relationships with channel partners and act as a key point of contact.
- Responsible for meeting customer service goals.
- Participate in a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
- Support strategic sales plan on an annual basis and review status at the end of each quarter.
- Promote sales and marketing initiative related to Channel sales.
- Participate in functions essential to sales productivity including developing channel sales strategy to meet company goals, reporting, quota setting, and sales process optimization through various channels.
- Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales quotas and performance objectives.
- Achievement of strategic sales service objectives defined by management.
- Maintain regular communication with channel partners and key accounts with distribution representatives to assist in the selling process.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate distributor needs on an ongoing basis.
- Attend distributor-hosted vendor shows and sales meetings for prospecting, training, networking and educational opportunities.
- Monitor sales and operational results to track KPIs and improve sales.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelors degree in Life Science.
- 1-2 years experience in related industries and / or customer-service or sales positions.
- Sales management experience a plus but will consider individual with no official sales management experience that demonstrates zeal to grow into the new functional role.
- Verbal and written communication skills needed.
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Planning and organizational skills
- Telephone sales personality skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
- Competitive, ambitious, and driven, with a self-starter and positive attitude
Work Environment :
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
- Minimal noise level environment
- This job demands normal working hours but must be flexible dependent upon the company needs.
