We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join a full-service, award-winning architectural, engineering, and construction management firm located in Northern Virginia. This dynamic company, established in 1985, offers a diverse range of services to both public and private sector clients. This position supports the Structural Division and involves designing building structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. This is a career position with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive construction documents for various projects.

Draft and design building structures, utilizing skills in AutoCAD and Revit.

Perform structural steel design and ensure compliance with safety and economic specifications.

Design structures to withstand internal and external forces, selecting appropriate materials and reinforcements.

Essential Skills

Degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.

4+ years of experience in structural engineering related to building designs.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit.

E.I.T Certification.

Ability to interpret and compile complete sets of construction documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Design experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

Knowledge of civil engineering principles.

Experience in drafting and commercial building design.
