About the Position :
Weld County School District RE-5J is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
This full-time contract position involves working 40 hours per week, with a schedule that can either be from 7 : 10 AM to 3 : 00 PM or from 8 : 00 AM to 3 : 50 PM.
The selected candidate will be assigned to one or two buildings within the district, and the caseload may vary. The district's director is ready to schedule interviews promptly.
Key Responsibilities :
Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to gather accurate and meaningful data.
- Individualized Plans : Develop and implement intervention plans based on evaluation results. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to create effective support strategies for students.
- Consultation : Provide expert consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding students' needs and appropriate interventions.
Offer recommendations for instructional strategies and behavioral management.
- Progress Monitoring : Regularly monitor and document students' progress toward their individual goals. Adjust intervention plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Compliance : Ensure all services provided are in compliance with state and federal regulations and ethical standards of practice.
- Collaboration : Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other collaborative efforts to support student success.
Qualifications :
- Licensure : Must hold a valid state licensure as a School Psychologist in Colorado.
- Certification : Relevant certification and credentials as a School Psychologist.
- Experience : Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
