This position is hybrid / remote (in the office 1-2 days / week). It's based at our West Knoxville Branch (8721 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN). The deadline to apply for this opportunity is Monday, October 13, 2025.
Role : The ORNL Federal Credit Union Recruiter II identifies and attracts qualified candidates to fill job openings and manages the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews and extending offers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with hiring managers to understand position vacancies, creates and implements effective recruiting strategies.
- Proactively sources candidates by utilizing online platforms, social media, professional networks, and job fairs to build talent pipelines and fill positions with quality candidates.
- Identifies and assesses candidates; connects qualified candidates with hiring managers; oversees interview and selection process; consults on offer details and facilitates candidate communication.
- Builds partnerships and networks to create a robust talent pipeline; develops and maintains strong relationships with external partners; attends job fairs and networking events.
- Provides training, expertise, and guidance to hiring managers on compliant and effective recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices.
- Maintains current knowledge of recruitment practices and regulations. Maintains all records associated with recruiting, including applications, selection assessments, interview notes and pre-employment screenings, to comply with regulations and best practices.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience : Five or more years of corporate or agency recruiting experience is required. Experience with various sourcing strategies and recruiting methods is preferred. Credit Union or financial services experience is preferred.
Education : A high school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, work-related experience, or military experience is preferred. HR Certification is preferred.
