What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
Evaluate and handle all underwriting aspects of life insurance applicationsDetermine acceptance, modification, or decline of risks based on medical history and financial backgroundDeliver quality service to third-party firms, advisors, and customersCommunicate effectively to explain underwriting decisions and facilitate business placementsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather information necessary for decision making and risk selectionWhat is Required (Qualifications) :
High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years of life insurance underwriting experienceEstablished underwriting authority limit of $3 millionExpert knowledge of risk selection, including medical, non-medical, and financial aspectsFamiliarity with underwriting administrative systems and guidelinesHow to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
5+ years of underwriting experience with a limit of up to $5 millionCompletion of industry exams such as FLMI, FALU, CLU, or ChFCExperience with term and permanent life insurance underwritingBackground in third-party distribution or reinsuranceStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesFinancialServices #LifeInsurance #RemoteWork #CareerGrowth #InclusiveCulture
