Essential Responsibilities include : collaborating with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan, developing and maintaining competencies as delegated by a registered nurse, maintaining the safety of patients who have been identified at risk for preventable injury, and reporting all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications include : a high school diploma or GED required, 0-1 years related work experience required, patient care experience strongly preferred, and basic familiarity with computers.
Competencies include : decision making, problem solving, independence of action, written and oral communications, knowledge, teamwork, and customer service. Employees in this job must be competent to provide patient care to the following age groups : Neonatal, young adult, middle age, and elderly.
The physical nature of the job is medium work : exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and / or move around through the majority of their shift. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
