Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking an oil and gas Senior Accountant with one of our clients located in downtown Denver.
The right candidate would have previous oil and gas accounting experience including experience with JIB Accounting and / or E&P.
This is a full-time position paying up to $40 / hr (depending on experience). Flexibility in hours with options to have half days on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Track project costs related to moving expenses, including set up fees and actual move costs.
Ensure all expenditures align with audit requirements and compliance standards.
Perform detailed allocations of expenses to appropriate cost centers or projects.
Coordinate the billing process for moving costs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide support to project teams in completing operations, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize cost allocation strategies and identify areas for cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications :
18 hours of college accounting courses required.
Experience in the oil & gas industry required.
Experience in operations accounting or cost accounting preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (AS400 is a plus).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
Self-starter with effective communication skills.
Upon hire, must pass a background check and drug test as well as provide at least 1 professional reference.
