JOB SUMMARY :
The Training Program Manager is responsible for scheduling, conducting, and recording all training at the repair station.
REPORTS TO :
The Training Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Quality.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
None.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Revise / Maintain Airside FAA Training Manual in conjunction with the Director of Quality
- Perform Repair Station / Employee needs assessments as required by FAA regulations and Airside Training Manual (in conjunction with VP of Operations, Directors of Quality / Maintenance)
- Draft / Maintain training curriculum.
- Track all training intervals as described in Airside Training Manual
- Present all in doctrine / recurrent training as described in Airside Training Manual
- Schedule all training even if performed by outside contractor.
- Construct and maintain all OJT / Classroom training records for each employee governed by the Airside Training Manual
- Draft, maintain, and train employees on Airside Safety Manual
- Maintain all training aids that are supplied by Airside MRO
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements :
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Thorough understanding of tools and testing methods used to perform maintenance on aircraft components.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, specs, and drawings
- Detail-oriented and strong oral and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new skills and methods.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft and Adobe applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of aviation maintenance with a valid A&P license
- Prior experience in FAA Part-145 MRO environment is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience in conducting training either one-on-one or in a classroom setting
- Prior experience with OEM specs, manuals, and drawings is preferred.
- Familiar with the use of precision measuring tools
