JOB TITLE : Accounting Specialist

SUMMARY : Performs a range of accounting and financial duties to support the financial functions of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll duties
- Verifies and posts accounts receivable and accounts payable information; generates checks
- Performs daily banking procedures
- Reconciles bank statements
- Reconciles and closes books monthly
- Prepares 1099s
- Processes payroll
- Assists with annual audits
- Reviews, evaluates, and implements financial policies and procedures
- Prepares required reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of an associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent (accounting or finance emphasis), two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting best practicesDemonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentagesVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsCommitment to excellence and high standardsStrong ethics with ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowAcute attention to detailProficient on QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.comAbility to work effectively with a group of diverse individuals at all organizational levelsSubject to standard employee background check and screening proceduresPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This is a full-time position principally located on-site at the company's headquarters. Workdays are generally Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
