Sr. Project Wastewater Engineer

H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Sr. Project Wastewater Engineer in our Central, NJ office.

This covers all phases such as planning, feasibility studies, design, construction, and maintenance on a multitude of wastewater design projects. We understand that no two projects are the same and can pose unique challenges in their design construction, operation, and maintenance. Using cutting-edge solutions, detailed construction drawings, and comprehensive internal quality control practices, H2M delivers design excellence on time and on budget.

In this role, you will independently complete complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, compile technical reports and other activities requiring the knowledge of standard engineering principles and techniques.

Job Responsibilities :

• Leads projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
• Manages projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.
• Leads development of construction documents / specifications and handling engineering services during construction.
• Meets established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project / task scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinates execution of projects with other disciplines.
• Develops medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
• Prepares complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW conveyance systems for clients.
• Creates and manages cost estimates and project schedules and will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Performs detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilizes design software to solve complex issues.
• Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design / drafting technical staff.

Education and Qualifications :

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 annually.
