Operations Manager

Job Overview : As the Operations Manager for the San Antonio division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of their heavy highway construction projects in South Texas.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget while upholding our standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Lead and manage multiple construction projects concurrently, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Resource Allocation : Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project performance and cost efficiency.
- Safety Compliance : Champion a culture of safety across all projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Client Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, fostering positive relationships and ensuring open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget and Cost Management : Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and implementing strategies to control expenses without compromising quality or safety.
- Quality Assurance : Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that workmanship and materials meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards.
- Team Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including project managers, engineers, foremen, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and maximize profitability.
- Risk Management : Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in heavy highway construction project management, with a minimum of 15 years in the industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials related to heavy highway projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed - travel will not be a large part of the job.

- Salary : $200k-$250k
- Bonus : Depending on company performance, can range from 10%-50% of base salary
